====Safety==== * I have decades of experience working safely with electrical, mechanical, pressurized chemical delivery, etc systems. I'm familiar with LOTO, PPE, best practices to make things safe. * I know that it's in MY best interest to go home with all my fingers and eyeballs. I know it's ALSO in an employer's best interest to have me go home with all my fingers and eyeballs. A safe workplace attracts good people. An unsafe workplace attracts the kinds of people that cover up safety and quality issues and drive away good people. * I'm comfortable Stopping The Job if I suspect safety issues. ====Culture==== * I believe that diversity is a strength for any organization. * I belive that toxic workplaces drive away talent and fester. * Hablo un poco de Espanol, and I took the time to learn just to talk to my neighbors. * Doing a good job is rewarding. Working with good people is rewarding. ====Electrical Knowledge==== * I have an AA in electronics and have done years of technician level troubleshooting of complex electrical circuits. At 5v or 12V, not 120v, 240V, etc... but the experience is there. A house is relatively easy to troubleshoot compared to an amplifier or power supply or CNC machine. * I understand Ohm's Law, multi phase circuits, power calculations, electrical interference, the practical effects of inductors and capacitors in circuits, etc etc etc. * I have taken 300 level math classes. I'm good with math. * I'm quite comfortable with multimeter (and oscilloscope, etc) usage. * I'm comfortable with reading schematics. ====Other Knowledge==== * I have decades of experience working with technicians, engineers, and vendors in a production facility. I can communicate well to different audiences. * I have decades of reading and writing documentation and specifications. * Not very relevant, but I am comfortable with running CNC (3D cutting) machines, designing things in CAD, programming the machines, operating the machines. * Also not relevant, but I have done a few years of software development. I'm comfortable troubleshooting complex systems, writing and reading documentation, and constantly learning new things. ====Basic tool usage==== * I have built and helped with (planned, budgeted, bought, framed, wired, plumbed, roofed, drywalled, etc etc etc) several Tiny Houses. * I have built and helped with (planned, budgeted, bought, trenched, laid electrical lines and plumbing and networking cables) several installations for Tiny Houses. * I have a wood shop and am comfortable with all basic tool usage. I make musical instruments in my spare time. I have limited welding experience.
