Welcome to my little website!
This is just my little web page for when I need to put something up on the web. It's ran off an old Thinkpad in the basement, because I value DIY in all things. Also, it's kinda scary how much of the web runs off of just a few companies.
I prefer my web independent. It might not be as flashy or as polished, but it's good for all of us to have people learning and growing even though learning and growing are sometimes messy.
I used to have a homemade website with fancy CSS to show off, but I switched to using Dokuwiki. This is a working website. I want updates to be simple.
I am running Caddy Server for virtual hosts and reverse proxy for various projects running off NodeJS containers running in Docker.
I was running nginx, but the config files for Caddy are just so much simpler and HTTPS is automatic. Yes, I tried Apache. Awesome, powerful, more than I needed to just run some virtual hosts and reverse proxies.
I'm an extrovert! If you're my neighbor in PDX, and want to work on a cool project, email me! If you need a VERY simple web page or application created and hosted for a small business or something, email me! I'll totally do it for free just to help a neighbor and meet someone interesting.
