Mud Room

front mud room is mud/laundry room with laundry table or shelf or bench. Some room on the ground floor that is not a living space where event/travel supplies can be stored temporarily. -A plan to store hats, boots, shoes, coats, gloves, etc. (shoes cannot be all together in a bag) Ground floor mud room needs to be ADA compliant. front door does not lead into living space/hang out space (front door could lead to mud room, foyer, entry way, stairs, bathroom door)

Bathroom

No washer dryer in bathroom.

Big Ass Tub, either very deep (enough to stand) or enough to lounge in (extra long)

Other

Aline needs interesting shapes and angles for some rooms. I don't want all rooms to be boxes.

At least 1 round window

Aline needs 2 kinds of storage:

  • long term storage (like Christmas stuff) that only comes out occasionally (can go in old basement)
  • short term storage (like art supplies, doula supplies) that I can access every day or every week (needs to be on my house level).
  • large storage closets, lots of storage throughout house
  • built for climate change - fire resistant, lots of insulation.
  • built ins
  • Aline has ability to do office/doula work in dining or living room
